Guest Guest Posted November 27, 2011 Andres,This is a well done portrait. I like the use of the colors you have chosen. They work together well. The compositional balance is a little left and top heavy. You could crop a smidgen off the top bottom and the right side for better composition. It would be more effective if all of your subject was in critical focus. Make sure your depth of field is deep enough to cover all of your subject. Use a tripod whenever possible. The highlights on the tuning pegs (keys) are quite bright. They draw the viewer's attention away from your subject. The guitar's head is too close to her face. It blends into her nose and chin -- somewhat annoying. It seems to be some sort of fashion statement the last few years, but it is still tacky to show your subject's bra strap. You don't want anything in your photograph to draw attention away from your subject. It is quite acceptable to place your name and the date the photograph was made, if you wish, on a mat surrounding your photograph. The copyright symbol, your name and the date do not belong on the image.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment
