I thoroughly enjoy viewing this shot. You have captured the peace and a slower pace of life. This takes me back to my youth growing up in IN. I like the fact that you included the water fall and did not blur the water excessively allowing the feel of slower moving water .

Normally I prefer color photo's but I like the effect/mood that the B&W gives this photo

Patrick: Thanks for your comments.  This covered bridge is in upstate NY.  I love covered bridges.  I've tracked them around CT, VT, NY, NJ and PA.  Smelling the old wood when you walk through takes you back about 100 years.   Here it is in it's original without any changes except to reduce the size.  I really didn't have any choice with shutter speed as this is a P&S.  Alan

It is a nice shot both ways. I like covered bridges also.
