Gouda: Donkere sluis

You'll find this sluice in the heart of Gouda. A pittoresque city in

the Netherlands.

This sluice has 6 doors (3 sets) and is designed around 1600.

My photo doesn't really show the sluice. Only a quarter of the

levers, three buildings a bridge and a street lantern...

It is one of those sights you pass by regularly without seeing. I used

this field of view to sort of compress all this detail in one photo.

And used a Lightroom B/W high contrast preset to add a bit of 'punch'.

ik vind dit eerlijk gezegd een ongelooflijk rommelige kiek.

Je hebt ook nog eens tamelijk veel woorden nodig gehad om een & ander te beschrijven, wat eigenlijk bij een foto, die voor zichzelf moet spreken, niet nodig zou moeten zijn.

Kortom, probeer van deze mooie, oude sluis nog maar eens wat foto's te maken waarop hij beter tot z'n recht komt.
