A beautifully dressed set which you have lit so well. Great atmospheric expression on the models face. Well seen and executed a 7 from me. Best wishes William

The lighting is truly fantastic and reminiscent of the old Italian and Dutch masters. needless to say the styling, pose and composition are perfect too.

Debra, I think this is a magnificent piece of work. It looks so romantic, like an old masters painting. The soft, subdued, and harmonious colours, the gentle light, the beautiful face, nice position & angle, the perfect exposure all in a lovely composition make this the best photo I have seen today.

Best wishes,

Linda

I was brought to your portfolio by Golden Splash and this shot was on the page under "others by member" and it really caught my eye.  Just a wonderful image, lighting, colors, pose, everything working together.

I love the tilt of her face and the little backlight on the dim dappled background. You have done a lot with the elements of this photo and the delicate position of the hand which adds a nice balance to the face above. Tying the pose together.  The costume is enhancing to this girl and grabs attention to direct the eye from face down the ruffles to hand on book. So it is a successful and not garish prop in itself. I like it.   She may be reflecting on a Jane Austen heroine or be thinking of one.  A period of feminine elegance is not so common in popular photos.  I say why not though...it shows a period charm gaining in literary popularity.  gs
