I usually curse the breeze in cases like this, when it spoils the mirror reflections. But in this case I think the consequential light shimmer works in favour of the scene as it serves to highlight the rowing boat and the oarsman / woman, whilst still retaining some lovely muted reflections in the foreground. I also like the faint suggestions of colour beyong the mist, beautifully rendered and processed.

Thank you for your supportive comments. I could not have asked for a better coordination of colours, the green row boat and the yellow jacket compliment the Fall colours nicely. The chap in the boat was taking photographs and would occasionally stop rowing and pick up his camera, all the while zig zagging across the lake. It was his rowing activity that was disturbing the placid surface of the water.
