To me personally, no.  To my son who sometimes does this, perhaps.  I have never understood why people tilt the camera dramatically just to make the photo "different," as if we are so jaded by beautiful scenes that we have to search for ways to jazz them up.  But that's just me.

Sarah:  We all want to be different.  But it's very hard to make the common look inspired while maintaining a "normal" look.  I wish there was an easier way, but there isn't.  Good luck and keep shooting.  Keep trying different things.  And you will be inspired.  Alan

I sometimes think that by their very nature sunsets are cliche. However, you could stand in this spot evening after evening, and every sunset would be different. Sometimes an exceptionally unusual one comes along (unique cloud formations, something interesting on the water, a flock of birds passing by, etc.), and that's when you want to be lucky enough to have picked that evening to be there.  That's when a common sunset is seen in an uncommon way, and it often makes for a great photograph.
