Are you familiar with Pierre Verger's work?

Richard. Thank you for your comment and suggestion reference Verger. I have not heard of him before.

Philip, Here is a link to a few pictures of Pierre Verger. The book " Pierre Verger Photographs 1932-1962" is great. He too traveled extensively through alot of countries (Africa, Carribean - Haiti, Asia - Vietnam and China, North and South America) photographing the people. The resemblence that I see with you and Verger is that you both get off the beaten track and merge with the local people who seem to be comfortable with and trusting of you.

Intriguing photo (for me). I looked for minutes until the man almost disappeared into the bricks. This photo raises a lot of questions, and puts ahead a strong statement.
