michael_ward1 0 Posted June 3, 2003 Are the leaves yellow turning to green, or green turning to yellow? Or do they stay this color always? The composition is very peaceful and serene, and has just the right touch of water. And of course I love the little bits of decay. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted June 5, 2003 That's not decay! That's just nature's little defects to remind us that everything is less than perfect. I haven't seen a dogwood up close since 1954 but I do remember they were beautiful. We went to the Dogwood Festival in eastern Oklahoma. It was a lot of fun for a youngster. Jim, I like the shapes and the colors almost look like they're running off in the downpour in the middle of the leaves. I didn't remember the leaves being variegated. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted June 7, 2003 The colors here are really eye-catching. I can almost smell that.. 'after the rain' scent in the air. I don't recall varigation in Dogwood leaves... is this out of the norm? Link to comment
jim schwaiger 0 Posted June 8, 2003 After consulting the expert (mom), this is a "First Lady" dogwood which is a hybrid. The leaves stay like this and they are fairly rare around this area. Indeed most dogwoods have plain green leaves. Link to comment
