I much like the subject. There is something incredibly nice about dead (or leaf-less) trees in fog. It works well in black and white, and the tree is well alone.

The tree put in the middle of the frame, though, to me makes it a bit a boring photo. There is nothing happening, no sense of event. The fog is quite distant and does not really "impose" itself to increase the atmosphere. Due to the subject, there is also no sense of tranquility and calm. So the composition does not really match the subject, in my view.

The black and white conversion has been done very well, subtle with enough midtones to emphasise the foggy sky.
