bestlensfriend 0 Posted September 2, 2001 The color is beautiful. I like the background. The photograph has the background with a wonderful color of flower, instead of green leaves or black space. Link to comment
chrisaj 0 Posted September 2, 2001 Always enjoyed flowers for the colors. So this is an interesting picture to me. Would like to see more. Link to comment

carol_sherman1 0 Posted October 7, 2001 I have just joined this site and what a delightful way to be introduced to it! Your POW was absolutely breathtaking! Went to your website and was in total awe of your photographs. May I ask for more details re: macro used and settings please? Also, what kind of camera do you have? Just yearning for learning...so you'll have to excuse the list of questions. Link to comment

akbar 0 Posted September 28, 2002 Excellent photograph. I love this image beacuse of the soft effect that is beautifully achieved with careful management of dof and focussing, even and diffused lighting. The colors while subdued and pastel are still rich and almost luminescent (hope I spelt that right). Well composed and overall an excellently executed photograph. Link to comment
brillb 0 Posted March 16, 2003 I really like the Dahlia. Is this backlit and flashed? I love the softness of the colors. I would want to wake up to this. Link to comment
karl_shuffler 0 Posted August 21, 2003 To remind others to move in close as a back ground is not always needed. With the use of soft light to give that pastel color look, your control of what is happening with controlling the correct exposure based on the elements ... No point and shooting here ... photography at it's best. Congradulation! Link to comment
philco 0 Posted December 26, 2003 You may be interested in a newly published book from Wang Xiao Hui "The Eros Of Flowers". See www.xiaohuiwang.com. Not sure if it's available in the West. Just bough it in China. Link to comment
johnf 0 Posted January 10, 2004 Incredible!!! This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful photo of a flower I've ever seen. Having the only the tips in focus adds a great deal of softness to this photo. If the rating went higher than 7 this would deserve the highest. I've also never seen so many comments on a photo Link to comment
