flavius_ch. 0 Posted June 28, 2003 this photo could have been taken in a dilapidated region of an ever up-and-coming area or in one of those places whose walls are palimpsests of daily history (mezzogiorno?).... elements that blurr the temporal/functional distinctions in this phote are multiple. the lady in the 'fresca' looks as if she were approaching the bucket, dissolving present/real into past/immaginary. on the other hand, the game of light and shadow has a contrary effect. for example, had it not been for the sun-lit right-side of the bucket, revealing of spatial features, the whole picture might well have looked like wallscape, thus 2-dimensional. bravo florin!
