Steps and shadows

I like the illusion of a skyline, or a dark fortress.  The monolithic, windowless 'structure', plus the deep shadow at its base, give the image weight and some mystery.  The texture of the concrete makes it appear that there is debris in the air, giving an apocalyptic feel.  Nicely done.

While I see this as more of a semi-abstract than a landscape photo, I also see the result of a photographer with a very observant eye who can produce an interesting photo just by standing a small concrete pattern on its head.
