derekc 0 Posted June 3, 2003 a nice image/setting. on my monitor, the robe has lost some of the highlights ... but it's going to be hard to expose when the person is "spotlighted" like this against a dark background (and maybe the original image was better? maybe some dodging would help?) The shadowing of the face is a bit too deep (e.g. some soft fill flash would have been nice). I know you didn't have control over these things at the time, but these things are what detract from the aesthetics of the image for me. Link to comment

peta 0 Posted July 11, 2003 I too love the lighting in this. The composition is very nice too. EDIT: I have tried to rate this 3 times, and as far as I can see my rating is not being accepted, even though it says I rated already? 6/6 Link to comment
jefwong 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Nice composition, I like the way the candle balance against the person. In my humble opinion, a little fill flash on his face will add more interest to the photo. However, the priority is to capture the moment...and you have done it beautifully. Great shot! Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted August 11, 2003 composition and angle are well handled...I agree with a bit of fill on his face Link to comment
snowdog 0 Posted October 21, 2003 Nice shot. Composition is very good, also lighting that creates a very warm atmosphere. The only things I have to say is that the priest face may be better lightened... but without flashlights many churches are very dark! :-) BTW nice work. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 30, 2003 The light is the main factor in that nice photo, even his face needed more of it, but in general a very good one, good luck for the future. Pnina Evental Link to comment
dhawks 0 Posted September 8, 2004 This reminds me of a photo from National Geographic. Impeccable lighting, solid composition and a slice of life somewhere. Well done. Link to comment
