texture The Poppy family

My first attempt at hand HDR and other techniques, after reading Harold

Davis' book "Photographing Flowers". I am reasonably pleased with the

way the poppies turned out, but not so much with my scanned rice paper

texture. Any and all comments and critiques will be most appreciated.

Dave,  i find your image really attractive, with very nice textures.  think a wee bit of separation between the two flowers would not go amiss.  nice work!

I understand Roger's thoughts o separating the two flowers a bit... but I tend to like the sho "as is"...because it looks as though they're kissing! did I just break a "man rule"? ;)

The water colour effect that allows the red to "spill" into the yellow is very beautiful. This image captures so well the inherent grace of the poppy.

 

The kissing idea is nice too. You guys are truly romantics. :)
