einar 0 Posted November 1, 2011 Looking down into the Lysefjord, one of Norways most dramatic fjords. The picture is shot at ISO 200, f7,1, 1/160 second. Think the shot captures the drama at this particular viewpoint and by including the boy in the picture makes it more living. Comments welcome. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted November 2, 2011 You are absolutely correct that having the figure in the foreground makes this photograph. Without the figure the foreground and the bottom of the valley seem to blend together and separation would be completely lost. The figure compared to the building at the bottom emphasizes the great depth of the chasm. Even though you do have a good suggestion of aerial perspective to lend depth to the photograph, darkening the point of land where the boy is standing will both add separation between it and the bottom of the fjord and give an added dimension to the perceived depth. Not Here 93 Posted November 3, 2011 Excellent shot and having the young man in the shot adds reality and depth. An impressive view, a startling drop and it's good to see the cautious posture by the young man... Mike Link to comment
