labgolden 0 Posted October 31, 2011 What at first glance were simply bright, side-lit subjects against a dark background turned out for me to be a variety of contrasts. For example: The foreground water vs. the background granite; lit, bare trees vs. those in deep shadow; bare branches vs. lush green grass and shrubs; bright, sandy beach vs. darker, coarse foreground pebbles. Thank you for taking the time to view this image. Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted November 1, 2011 Hi Richard,A lovely scene capture , with a variety of color tonesHowever, using a 41mm lens setting at F/11 did limit the definition.I usually shot all my shorter focal length lens at F/5.6 or faster, since the DOF is inherently greater and the definition from the lens remains at its peak level for overall performance. joseph_eiche 1 Posted November 3, 2011 This would probably be an excellent candidate for HDR photoraphy/processing.That being said this image is relatively pleasing as the layers of light trees and water on dark provide great contrast. Link to comment
