racheld 0 Posted November 12, 2011 love the light streaming through the trees! Almost looks black and white, but not! Very interesting! Link to comment
bobby_ho 0 Posted November 13, 2011 This stream of light rays make this scene very interesting. Not only it provides a beautiful contrast, but also it leads the eye to the small opening at the far end. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted November 13, 2011 Fantastic! Love it! Wonderful light and the dark black vertical lines of the trees create a bold photograph. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted November 14, 2011 The streaming light is nicely done. I especially like how the limbs in the upper right portion fill in that space, provide a different angle relative to the mass of trees on the left, and help form a tunnel that guides the eye to the background. I know this is a developed area, but I can't help but wonder how this photo would appear without the buildings. Alternatively, I wonder how one or two people entering the open space in the background would alter the mood of the photo. But those are different photos, neither adding or detracting from your fine presentation here. Nicely seen. Link to comment

Maures 5 Posted November 16, 2011 I appreciate your comments but I have to tell you that there are no buildings in this image. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted November 16, 2011 Oh, man, I was thinking this was some kind of a marine base (as in, "Let's get ready to go to Afghanistan"). Imagine that, coming from a biologist no less. So I presume that building-shaped patch of white is not the end of a barracks, but rather simply an opening in the trees. As Gilda Radner (rest her soul) would say, "Oh, that's very different. Never mind." Link to comment
