The boots being awash in light is a great plus. And quite fitting that their heads (the lovers) are shrouded in intimate shadow. As there is no eye contact I don't feel like an intruder.

The tree trunk at left sort of anchors the frame. That their shadowed upper torso is 'enclosed' between the verticals of the trunk and the brickwork frames them perfectly. A square crop furnishes a natural right edge of foliage.
