peterohara 0 Posted October 27, 2011 John,Wow! Great shot! Great composition, tones and very creative. For me it would be absolutely perfect if the eye was not so close to the frame but other than that it's amazing. It's a 7 for me.Best Regards,Peter Link to comment

sonneland 0 Posted October 27, 2011 John, beautiful work, really suits high key. have seen this pose or similar ones over the years, but none with the eye. top shelf all the way! Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted October 27, 2011 I love this high-key nude, John. The single visible eye is a terrific compositional element and adds a terrific sense of mystery. Beautifully done. Link to comment
bobmclean 1 Posted October 28, 2011 Great high tone image John. The subject is uniquely posed creating great tonal contrasts. Regards. Bob Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted October 28, 2011 when reading through the comments could not help but notice the one by Razak Vance with a link to another image, and lots of question marks. i went to check out the image and discovered another image similiar to this one only of a superior quality, actually one of nicest nudes have ever seen. image was created by Sascha Huttenhain.my question is, what are all the question marks for? it sort of leaves the impression that you're not happy with someone having a go at copying someone else's work. i can see nothing wayward here. how many times have you seen the classical poses by different photographers. there are actually very few images that are wholly original. there is also the possibility that John has never seen this image by Sascha and came upon the idea entirely on his own.i also have taken a image very similiar to this one minus the eye about 40 years ago. guess my point would be its no big deal. a lot of people are members here so they can learn something about photography, and what better way to learn than to see a image you really like and have a go at reproducing it yourself.
