My cat, Herkules, looks guilty

Toned, burned and dodged in Photoshop. Depth of field is "unmanipulated."

I've beguning trying to get head shots of pets using a 67 camera with

the lens wide open to really focus on the animals' eyes. I'd love to

hear your comments. Thanks.

This caught my attention on two counts: animals and close ups, my two fun things to do. I love the look of your cat. It takes time to get a decent shot of any animal and I like this.

To see some head shots of animals, check out "Eye to eye" by Frans Lanting at you library. I am still new at this and read and watch evrything he has written and videoed. Has helped me a great deal.

"What Christmas tree? You mean that large scented scratching post in the living room? AHHHH!"

I like how the ears fade out and the eyes are large and expressive. There's also a huge sense of movement in this image. I like it!

I know how hard this must have been with an RZ. The results look fantastic, though. Beautiful tone, too. If anything, I kind of wish that the DOF didn't fall off SO fast and SO hard. Were you using extension tubes? Ugh! this must have been a pain in the ass!. cheers
