cornerstone 0 Posted October 26, 2011 This was taken with Kodak VS100. It's normally quite color saturated but for some reason, this shot looks a little dull. I'm using Photoshop CS5 and I also have the complete Topaz suite. Any suggestions for a method to make this shot "pop" without losing the "real feel"? Link to comment
chrisvest 1 Posted October 27, 2011 it's a nice pic with your field rows running alluringly toward the focal point. it has both highlights in the clouds and plenty of deep tones, so with my copy i simply lightened the midtones by pulling "curves" upward a bit in the middle which brightened it up considerably. cheers Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted October 29, 2011 I like the photo as it is. Adding more "pop" will maybe make it jump more at you, but it might also make the photo somewhat artificial, and "tiring" to look at a bit longer.I know the more saturated 'popping' look is more popular, but that doesn't make it a better choice for all. I'd be extremely cautious editing this photo much more.As it is now, a really fine composition, maybe a bit static but blessed with good light, a great sky and strong compositional elements in the lower half too. Leave it as it is, it's a solid good photo. Link to comment
