black swans

I was going to make some comments on some basics but then I looked at your gallery, which has some truly lovely images so you obviously know what you are doing, and now I wonder if I just don’t get what you intent was with this one. 

Ok, so my 2 cents worth based on my immediate response…

It seems a little too soft/noisy (or is that intended?) and the composition/cropping is not as as I would have done it.  In particular, the bright patch behind the swans is a distraction for me and I would reduce it by cropping as it does not add much. 

Anyway, not knowing what you intended these are just some ramblings that may or may not be relevant.  So overall, for me, this is a pleasing scene and good capture that, depending on your intent, might be made stronger with a little tweaking.

Hi Mike, thanks for your comment. Actually, I liked this light part behind swans, because photo would be too dark without it, and swans would be unrecognized without it.. but maybe you are right..
