JeffBryce 0 Posted November 7, 2011 The leading line of ice globules really makes this image for me. Very nice!It is great that you have shared the technical details. It makes me want more. I wish I could see this image bigger and closer as it is difficult to comprehend the scale of elements, especially based on your description of using a 3-image blend for the fore-, mid- and backgrounds. Also, it would be interesting to see your initial few shots in order to gain an understanding of how & why you concluded that you needed a multi-stitch and what appears to be DOF overkill in the foreground. plangereis 0 Posted December 18, 2011 I have to agree with what most people have said, Marc....Simply amazing landscape! I love northern lights images, but I think yours takes the prize. The ice elements in the foreground really are unique, and make the image. Thanks for sharing how you did this shot! All the best. Link to comment
kristina_kraft 0 Posted January 18, 2012 Sounds to me it is not easy to photograph like that. I really like this magic effect afterwards. Kristina Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted May 5, 2012 As many have mentioned the ice formations in the foreground makes this a real standout Marc! The green lighting from the aurora gives this image a surreal look that could easily be mistaken for another planet. Love this one!All the best,Neil Link to comment
