Hello,

I like this photo. Black and white, street photography, people and geometry. I have only one thing a bist disturbing this harmony : the sccoter which is too much present in the frame. You could also try to dodge a little bit  high levels of light. Kind regards.

I like this very much, Donna. I imagine that balancing the indoor and outdoor light levels was tough. This seems to be a good compromise. I like the balance of the woman inside agains the model in the sign.

eric, i totally agree with your suggestions. i apologize for the technical flaws, but i was totally on-the-fly in all the pictures in this series; grazie appreciating the trickiness, Mark... i should have tried harder to execute the idea in this shot. Mario, grazie finding this picture! the Faulkner quote among the quotes on your homepage is what i live by on PN, so i'll share it here... "I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible.",,, that's what art is! ;-} dp

Nice division of the frame. I like the way the guy standing before the mirror is distorted by the plastic partition behind him. The woman in the store and the woman in the photo outside seem to "mirror" each other, which is a central theme here, as we see part of the man from behind and a sliver of him reflected to himself and to us. I think it would be more stark and feel a little less off-the-cuff without the scooter outside, which I like. Its two mirrors are like another set of eyes on the scene but more importantly carry forward the theme of mirrors and, interestingly, don't reflect anything but light. They add, for me, a twist, and another level.

grazie Fred... to be honest, i'm fond of this shot as well, so i appreciate your validation. i enjoy whipping up a style in the camera viewer while keeping the scene expressing the realism of the human drama, as i'm experiencing it in the moment, and give this to the viewer, with hopefully the same effect as if i were telling them about it.  the drama, the aesthetic, equals the flavor. something like that, lol. this is my mission, lol ;-} dp
