ichtys7 0 Posted October 11, 2011 Dear Sirs, I hope you are all doing good in every aspect!• This view is somehow not in my own favour. I feel that the lightcoming from behind - do you call it "front-light" in English? is verydifficult to express the magnitude of this Baltic Seashore in theArchipelago of Stockholm. • Also this 17mm wide angel with shift possibilities as well as withtilt gives of course some benefits but again - is the whole photocomposition to your eyes out of balance? Is the fore ground toodominant? I think the only nice thing before was almost deleting thephoto was the uniqueness of the rainbow - and you need to have the sunpositioned behind you in order to get it visible - so this is a bit ofmy dilemma - I rather photographing from side-light that will givemore form of highlights and shadows and this particular photo is a bitof a compromise of what I would had preferred. And not the mid-daylight and mid-day time with lots of harsh light and unflatteringshadows around that time. So dear Photographer - please give me some spontaneous thoughts andfeelings that you might have when glancing at this one sea shorelandscape from Sweden! I have not used a grad ND filter. (the CanonTS-E 17mm/4L do not take any filters - or only if I find a solutionmaybe with big LEE filters..but they are so far I have seen NOT INSTOCK!!!) May you have a wonderful prolonging week with much joy! Best Regards, Charl Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 12, 2011 You did a remarkable job with the sort of available light and you utilized to serve this image in proper manner by all means, the DOF is also very effective as the details obtained all over this amazing place are so fine, the colors are vivid and the present of the rainbow along with the well contrasted clouded sky is of a great credit here and well enhanced the composition. Thank you for sharing it and wishing you all of the best. Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted October 13, 2011 Sharp and strong foreground, which I love most. Well balanced. The lucky rainbow is the best. Best Regards, Link to comment
stp 6 Posted October 14, 2011 This is a wonderful landscape photograph! The dominance of the foreground rocks works very well because there is visual interest there -- they have texture, color, and a layered look that are great, and their orientation naturally leads the eye to the rest of the photo. This would have been nice even without the rainbow, but the rainbow is an unexpected bonus that adds even more to the photo. You used your 17mm T/S lens very effectively. Very nicely done.
