It's early October in Indiana and the trees are starting to get some good

color. This covered bridge was built in 1882 by the Smith Bridge Company.

This 140+ feet relic was in use until the late 1980's and was restored in

1995. Thanks for looking, and please feel free to comment. -Tracy

I have to agree with Meir, this is a scene that most certainly would benefit from being shot early or later in the day.

I wish we had these types of bridges here in NJ. Excellent site/subject selection but shoot this one with the rising or setting sun and you will have a gem here.

Also if you can back up and let that road bend around to the bridge you would have an excellent compositional element. If you move left you may be able to get a nice perspective, right may end up with those trees in the way.

Takes me back to my child hood growing up in IN. I believe I remember seeing this bridge on one of our Sunday drives.  There use to be several in the state. I'm glad they chose to restore it .

Thanks for taking the photo and sharing It's a beautiful shot. like looking thru a window

Looking at the shadow of the tree it would appear that this shot was taken earlier / later in the day. It may be a bit over exposed but overall I like the shot alot. I'm a sucker for covered bridges I guess. What might help is if you drop back on the highlights a bit and push up the saturation a little. Thanks for posting.
