timeless earth 1 Posted October 12, 2011 Whilst the rest of the UK bathed in 30'C temperatures, the Isle of Skye was battered by gale force winds and rain. This shot was taken in a slight break in proceedings up in the North of the island at the Quraing on the Trotternish Ridge.10 secs was all it took to get movement in the sky what would probably normally take a minute plus.My camera bag weighing down tripod with my jacket cowling the camera from shake was in order. Needless to say this was not the first attempt! - Thanks for looking folks Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks for the description. Very shart details with the strong foreground. The color is good and the cloud is amazing. Best regards, Link to comment

papasan 0 Posted October 13, 2011 Your perseverance paid off. This is a very nice and moody scene. I love the layering of hues from bright green, and orangy brown to deep purple. Nicely done. Regards - michel Link to comment
chris_collins8 0 Posted October 15, 2011 The color is amazing. Wow, how do you get your colors to be so sharp? As a beginning photographer I'd enjoy a lesson! Link to comment
