Hi Gail,

I answered your question about tripods in an email.

The short answer is to hand hold the camera with the lens F-stop more aggressively set (F/2.8 or F/4), such that stopping fast flying insects becomes trivial and the ability to change direction is optimal from hand held cameras (especially with short focal length lens)

Best Regards,  Mike

Hola Gail. Impresionante imagen de esta gran abejorro sobre la delicada flor. Buen trabajo.

Un cordial saludo, Joaquín.

How busy this little bee seems.  I think the the selective use of color draws the eye quite nicely to main attraction without seeming campy or contrived.
