Inside Global Village Backpackers youth hostel, Vancouver, Canada.
A good example of the benefit of the fast lens of the Olympus Stylus Epic. The actual scene was significantly dimmer to the eye than what appears here. I disabled the flash, locked on to (I think) the farwall above the fellow in the corner, recomposed, held my breath, and shot. I did a good job of keeping steady, judgingby the slow shutter speed (see the backpacker at center frame.)I don't remember if I had spot metering enabled.Film was Kodak Gold or Royal Gold 400.I don't think the flash would have reached veryfar into this space, nor do I expect that the resultswould have been very pleasing in any case. Keywas holding still, because there was nowhere reasonable toplant my mini-tripod.
