Very atmospheric. Like the way you have framed it! I am going to check out more of your photos tonight.

I did a slightly different take on my initial image through some

bluer toning and an asymmetrical curved frame. What is your outlook

on this image? Thanks!

You have certainly captured the spirit of your folder title with this overcast sky and dark print. It could represent moonlight if you suggested it in the title.

 

Funny frames hardly ever work (IMHO) for long-term viewing though this one adds to the initial impact - I'll have to see what I think when I've looked at it a few more times.

Most of us are guilty of giving a 7 to pictures that do not completely seem original. Well your picture is a true seven for originality.

Nicely done Laura, great range of tones, I like the low key approach.

re: framing. I like rough edges (torn paper, hand brushed emulsion, etc) this is close, Just a little predictable to be great.

Love the tones and the pattern in both sky and water. Not sure the border works for me, but it's interesting.

Any photo with a tonal range in the blues I will like, so I'm definitely a sucker for this one. There is an intersting contast within the waves, but, like others have said, I'm not sure that the border works.

Im not much of a scenery guyIm more into people (and parrots) but I must admit that this shot by Laura E. Napolitano has the juice. And Ms Napolitano? Shes got the voodoo it takes to turn the ordinary into a superb photograph. Concept, light, color, presentation; all approach flawlesswell done Laura!

I disagree about the border: I think it distracts from the content (it says "look at me, I'm a border; ain't I pretty?"). The rest of the photo is wonderfully executed.

Get rid of that frame, the rest is perfect!
