Flamingos, to my mind, lend themselves to anthropomorphism and story

situations more than any other bird...probably courtesy of 'Alice in

Wonderland!' This flock had a wonderful, aloof period feel, hence the

'Flamingo Club' was born!

 

Multiple texture layers blended in Photoshop 4 and then finished in

This got attention quickly because it's so unusual. It got the comments because it's very good. Good use of vignette and reflection. Nice image.

I think it's hard to get an unusual shot of flamingos.  But you've done it in spades!  It's a very lovely effect, and I love the fact that those 2 flamingos on the left accommodated you by looking the other way.  It frames the image nicely.
