Saguaro Sunset

I shot this photo this spring in Tucson. It turned out much better

than I expected. I usually don't show any of my photos in public,

but liked this one so much, I thought I'd see what everyone else

thought of it.

The subject is very good, but I would have liked a

few changes to make it a much better photo. The cactus is in the middle of the frame, would have looked much better slightly off-centre. It is good aligned at the bottom of the picture frame. Also, I think it (= cactus) should have slighlty more detail to it. I don't think that would have spoiled the beatiful sunset.

I agree, the cactus should be off center. With simple compositions like this following "the rule of thirds" is always a good idea. Apart from that I can't fault it.
