Colors of spring I

Shot in the warm, last rays of the day against a background of grass.What do you think of...

1. light? (does thepicture look too magenta or is it OK?)

2. composition? (I'm thinking of cropping it to square or 6x7 format)

3. added soft layer? (is the effect overdone or just perfect?)

Very nice. . . .

The soft layer is invisible to my eye . . indistinguishable from DOF choices. The color is very nice. . . . looks like the natural result of sunset lighting, which it is. The framing, as with all images like this, is tricky. My eye went to the orphan top left, but all of the top elements create a problem no matter how you crop it. I think your idea of taking a lot off the top and bottom is a good one.

Nice spring photo Philippe, il me semble que le froid au canada pour les mois a venir est du passé, finalement! I like the composition, its very balanced, also because of the shallow DOF, I like the colours, which are very soft, maybe also because this post processing you mentionned. So yes, I appreciate this photo.
