human images 4 Posted September 11, 2011 un updated version of The Scream…a promo poster for an upcoming zombie flick… the exact second after a nuclear blast… after a long absence, a Tom Mestrom’ photoshop fantasy… Link to comment
3m 0 Posted September 11, 2011 Talk about an agonizing impact, this picture delivers big time, Ton. I don't know how you achieved the particular visual effects in your photo, but it surely enhances the feeling of torment and affliction. Edvard Munch's "Scream" trapped in a glass tower on fire... (....and it happens to be 9/11 today...) Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 13, 2011 Hope this is not how you feel...Actually, I kind of hope it is. LOL. Whatever the feeling, I like seeing it expressed so blatantly. And it does feel genuine. Hey, we all have to unload sometimes. Certainly, a change of pace from you. I like the rawness and the passion, a passion that comes in content, gesture, color, and form. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted October 13, 2011 Carlos, Marjolein, Niels, Drew, Jeff, Mario, Nick, Bulent & Fred first of all not to worry, I'm doing fine so there's no reason to read something into this. Secondly thanks for welcoming me back but am I? Well, actually I've never left, I've kept tabs on what all you have been up to. I've done and do that a few times a week but time has been an issue and I don't like to leave a comment without looking at and evaluating a photo for some time and frankly it's time that I can't or don't want to spend right now. I've kept some distance from the internet for the most part. Partly because of workrelated projects and partly because I've done postprocessing work for other people both of which eats up a lot of time but is very enjoyable. Also finally the fall has started which is my favourite season of the year. An incurable optimist by nature I'm very fond of the poetic melancholy that comes with it besides which it makes for great photo oportunities. As for this photo I shot it with my iPhone but did all the postprocessing in PS. I know that for most of you it will probably be a bit of a surprise. The truth is that every now and then I shoot stuff like this but it's very rare that I upload them on the internet. Hope you're all doing well. Also thanks for checking in.Take care, Ton Link to comment
