After looking through your portfolio, I've concluded you must be from Indiana.  I'm from Indianapolis, and I've recently heard about Goose Pond.  I haven't even heard of this variety of bird, so I'm glad to see it here.  It's a beautiful and unusual bird, and I particularly like the coloration with his environment.  I like the diffuse look of the water, but I can't understand the effect.....you've used a fast shutter speed.  At first I thought there might be some iced over patches, but there's no ice during the time of year you shot this.  I guess it's just the refracted light that's causing the effect.  It's very lovely.
