Very nice picture, although I wouldn't call "concerned" the expression of the mother. She smiles as someone who knows he is right even if the other side disagrees... Then I can easily interpret the expression of the young girl as someone unhappy because she doesn't have the last word...

 

I may be completely off, but that's the story I'm telling myself looking at this.

This is a very good image. I sense the woman in the background letting the girl know this is the way of the world while the girl is torn toward love or an idealism. The woman is probably right but my sympathy is with the girl! either way your treatment of this photo really is good because you haved caused us to think. excellent!
