I really like your Iceland shots.  Much of your portfolio is nicely abstract, especially the aerials and the seascapes.  In this shot, the rock would lend itself to an abstract.  The stream and grass would be distracting if you went abstract, but they could be cut out.

It's a young landscape, and the relatively recent geological activity is reflected in this part of the land.  This is very nicely framed (square!) with relatively soft contours and colors, somewhat in apparent contrast to its history as we know it to be.

A very interesting rock formation. A giant slide sculpted by water into the impressive monolithic rock. A rare sight. Nicely done, Jeff. 

The green at the bottom and the orange at the top gives the image an added impact that IMHO improves the aesthetics.  Can you see the wrist and fingers in the shadow area (mid right)? (*_*)

Tony, I hadn't noticed it before but certainly do now.

The scene showed is beautiful,the textures in the rocks and the contrast between tonalities enhances the composition and the spot,I like the different materials that we see at same time,green grass,water and rocks.I like a lot the gray color from the volcano land.best regards
