I find some slow exposures charged with life, it's almost like the

photograph absorbs much more of the moment. Textures, crispy sharp

hair sometimes works more as an distraction than valuable content,

adds nothing when we seek for the emotion. I'm courious to hear your

point of view on this. Thank you.

Could it be that every photograph is a frozen moment in time? Is it just bringing time and movement to a stand still to evaluate the moment? And what do we want to see, a crisp and sharp image or just a bit more soft toned image to fill in with our own emotions. Both have their own meaning and wonder. I wouldn't like to choose for one or the other. Use your camera the way you want and registrate your world as you love it and like it. Share it here on this forum or wherever you like with the world. You can't discuss art, it is impossible.

But here you created something absolute worth while looking at. I enjoy it very much and can only say: thank you for sharing!

Kind regards,

Herman

I think the shutter speed you chose complimented the look and contributed to the emotion in the photograph.  Use of B&W did the same.  It's an excellent portrait.
