Decided just before this backpack trip to take my wife's new Leica D-Lux 5 to

see how it's "scene" modes would do. I therefore concentrated on

composition.

Very nice image, my only sugestion would be to lighten the trees just a tad. Very nice composition!

Maybe more saturation?!

Art and Pierre -- Many, many thanks for viewing this photo and leaving your suggestions and encouragement.  Yesterday I grit my teeth and (nervously) posted the first two photos for which I requested critiques, so I'm especially appreciative that you took the time to look and comment.  

After looking again at this photo with your suggestions in mind, I also decided that I should have cropped out that that tree along the right edge that extends above the ridge line -- distracting.  Thank you again . . . I'm thrilled!  ~ Richard
