Lunar Eclipse during daylight
Aesthetically banal, but technically interesting: Lunar Eclipse as seen from atop 10,000 ft peak of Haleakala, Maui, on 15 May 03, while the sun had not yet set. Dark region around moon is shadow of Haleakala. Moonrise occurred during the final stage of the eclipse. Normally lunar eclipses are visible only when the sun is below the horizon.
