28 At Work Alone, Circa 1990

This portrait (which is what it really is)almost gives us a flourescent light headache- and well portrays the sterile office environment which so typifies modern work.

The tonal range and contrast are excellent. There is much to ponder over in the photo. I might crop a bit off the right side and not include the other office at all. And take off some of the left side and take out the ceiling, thus, bringing the subject and his desk closer. The detail on your print must be fantastic. Have you hung a copy of this up on that bulletin board?

I think this is the first posting of this. I scanned it in over a year and 1/2 ago, but forgot about it. I cleaned it up and applied what new skills learned at photo.net to it and voila'.

ps. I went with the wider crop because even though I thought much like you did, the lonliness is lost on the closer crop.

Yes, I see the emptiness that you were going for in the wider crop. Haven't we all been there at least once?
