earl_crider 0 Posted April 14, 2001 The thing that initally caught my eye was the format and how well you used it. Too many times a landscape is thought to be only "good" in landscape format. To me this is a very strong and lovely landscape. Well done> Link to comment
steve_baldwin 0 Posted April 15, 2001 Hi, I also like the vertical format, especially for coastal shots. Nice sky, nice depth of field, good color. Did you use fill flash? It looks like the immediate foreground is a little over flashed. Aside from that, I have to say that my own efforts on the Oregon coast have not been as good as this. Link to comment
ken_zeman 0 Posted April 20, 2001 I may be a little harsh but I hope you will take it in the right way. First your horizon line is not straight and the foreground is partially out of focus....I do like the S curve as it gives your eye something to follow. My sugestion would be to crop out a small amount on the bottom of the out of focus grass. Try croping out the white dot on left side. I tried this on my computer and IMHO it improved the picture greatly. However this is just my opinion and all photography is very subjective. I have been to this location and you have captured the feeling. Good luck, Ken Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted July 21, 2002 I agree with earlier comment on the horizon. The photo has good composition. Lighting needs little help from neutral grad filters in the lower left half of the image. Link to comment
