Jeff: Nice shot.  I notice the backscatter. Where's the strobe in relation to the lens. The further angle away, the less scatter from the particles.  Can you adjust it?  Of course, if you kicked up the muck, there might not be too much you can do about it anyway.  I notice the foreground is out of focus.  Consider decreasing the aperture to increase DOF or crop up a little more.  It's too bad you cut off the antenna on the left.  I would have like to see the whole thing.  Enjoy the camera. Looks like you're going to do some great work.  Alan.

Hi Jeff

If you would make your Aperture up to F22 and take a fast shuttertime, then the background will be black. So first of all less backscatter or dust, and the shrimp will stand out more with his white and reds.

Keep up the work and go on learning with taking many photos.
