jerrymat 5 Posted August 15, 2011 Alexandra, This seems to be a classic example of "butchery by light." That term was invented by the late Wm. Mortensen for any condition in which the general area was dark but had one or more beams of sunlight hitting the subject, causing a severe ratio between highlight and shadow. Since his time the utilization of electronic flash to fill the shadows has become a reasonable procedure. In some cases a large reflector might work to do the same.Sincerely,Jerry Link to comment
