Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted August 3, 2011 Tastefully done, like Jamie said. I have to add that the choice of including so much of the stem, and the toning was what elevated this from the realm of rote flower pictures. Fine work. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 5, 2011 Here is an example of the power of composition, hand in hand with a deep understanding of color. Though the approaches are different, I would say this photo is a portrait of a flower like a Georgia O'keefe painting was a picture of a flower.. Both transcend the genre and through a combination of aesthetic vision and technique, turn what would be just simple exposition in lesser hands into a personal expression of beauty. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 12, 2013 JAMIE, EMMANUEL, HANNU, JACK and TONY,Thank you all so much for your kind words; I am very appreciative. I must apologize for the late response to your comments but please know that they have helped uplift me. I am very pleased that "tastefully done" was used as a description to this image; I was trying for elegance, softness and strength so I guess it came through for you. Jack, I am so flattered by your comparison to Georgia O'Keeffe - my mom loved her style and I am sure my mom would be beaming if she had been able to read your comment. Tony, hope is all that gets me through at times ( it is also my favorite word out of all the words in existence). Thank you for your visits and comments; it is always good to hear from all of you. :) Link to comment
