A little more color saturation would be nice.  Also lighten it up a bit, although you might lose some of the effect you are trying for if you do.  Nice subject though.

Thanks Richard, I was trying to get a pastel effect and a soft feel to this photo. I was wanting it to look, something of a water color without using a filter or other editing in Photoshop. I did this completely in Lightroom. I read that you could use saturation and vibrance to get the pastel and I am not sure if I am satisfied with my results. I see other photos on this site where the processing make the photo almost look like a painting instead of a photo and this is what I was experimenting with. Thanks again for your suggestions and if you have any others that might help I would appreciate it.

Hi,

I would also go for a bit more lightening, but the overall effect of the photo is very good. The hazy background sky and the disappearing road are a good combo.

Personally, a great photo beats an average photo that looks like a painting. That's a very subjective thing and I know a lot of people who would disagree. You have managed to keep the photo looking real enough that it captures the imagination.
