Guest Guest Posted July 16, 2011 I am sorry this is a re-post of a work submitted recently. The original was removed due to technical changes. I have maintained the comments from all my dear Friends on PN and need to convert them to allow reload to the site.. I do appreciate everyone who has taken the time to comment on the recent series which is to enlighten people on the lose of habitat for our animals, and the destruction of humanity. I realize a hard subject to address in photography but I am trying my best to show images that reflect issues and concerns I have and in my photographs and designs to try to get interest in supporting conservation and promote photography.. Thanks Again for your kind attention... Link to comment

Anabela Sequeira 0 Posted July 16, 2011 Unmeasurable consumption will lead to a collapse of our resource base and increase biosphere pollution an intolerable amount. Founded upon an evolving purpose, technology and industrialization rely on convenience and profit...preserving human life style (minority wealth countries) but failing to emphasize the importance of ecosystems health is futile... This is a well conceived image, the "golf tee" itself makes the image...golf courses require a lot of water and a lot of pesticides too...decrease of agricultural production hence lack of food and starvation...can we play golf and still be environmental and humanitarian conscious ?!!! One of my favorite song lyrics is "Lonely Planet" by "The The" band... I didn't care if the sun didn't shine And the rain didn't fall from the sky I just cared about myself From this world to the next And from the next back to this By our actions we are bound We're running out of love Running out of hate Running out of space For the human race Planet Earth is slowing down If you can't change the world change yourself And if you can't change yourself ... Then change the world... You are doing such impactful work, MJ! You have my admiration and of course my gratitude! Link to comment
192 0 Posted July 16, 2011 What a great rendition!...This is a wonderful shot from your recent series with excellent expression of wild life and how human beings help to vanish wild life, little by little.Actually,If we could not think about this world we help to destroy the world and the wild life with our hands. The God creations are innocent but we never think about them.We did not care about the ozon layer or our atmosphere that surrond this soil world.Big groups of animals killed or disapear with our hand and our GREED little by little. This admirable shot can help us for working with minds,a little. You done a beautiful and great capture for us.How can we imagine a world without greens, jungles, animals and totaly WILD LIFES????It is impossible!...I think the photographers done this responsibility as well as possible. We tolerate this heavy load on our shoulders.Thnx alot for sharing and processing this unique and meaningful capture with us.You shocked us with it and make our minds active.Take care of yourself!!...Best regards(Bobby). pnital 36 Posted July 16, 2011 I did not see it before, But I'm glad to see it now, it is such a touching series and this one especially. The dry land , the child that looks hungry the cut tree which looks like hugging the world nature's animals. Very symbolic warning to human being under the sun ,and a great important saying . pdmc 0 Posted July 16, 2011 MJ, wonderful way of making a statement. The bright clouds may be a bit distracting - could the picture be cropped square without losing anything? Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 17, 2011 Beautiful image. I feel as if the starving child is looking at the Elephant in a Crystal Ball, and it seems he longs to be theer with the Elephant. Alone in his world of hunger, stakrness, so dry,no water. We all know what it feels like to have an empty stomach, to be hungry, but we mostly can relieve that in no time. His is a burning, craving that does not ever leave. A constant companion, and we haven't even gone to how his mind must translate his plight. Unimaginable fears, it is no wonder I feel that he would love to be in the Elephant's world.Another in your series that 'SPEAKS OUT LOUD' , but how 'loud' are we willing to 'turn up the VOLUME' ????Keep 'em coming, Gail Link to comment
randallfarhy 0 Posted July 18, 2011 The symbolism of this image is haunting. Ironic, or intentional-this use of a gazing ball, something that at one time only adorned lush gardens of the wealthy, is powerful in it's presence and setting. I've never been effective translating my feelings into words, but your images reinforce what has been going thru my mind for a very long time. - Randall Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted August 24, 2011 "Control the world's food supply and you control the world." not sure who said this but it could be Monsanto's motto. Great job MJ! The greatest threat to food productions is genetically altered food from Monsanto and others. They promised to solve the problem of world hunger, but have instead they have destroyed natural food and growth cycles and made huge profits. http://theoldspeakjournal.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/monsanto-and-gates-foundation-push-genetically-engineered-crops-on-africa/ Link to comment
