Thoughtful Jumping Spider

I like the way it seemed to be holding it's chin with it's front appendages.

Glad I have long conquered by childhood fear of spiders else I couldn't have looked close enough to see this is one darn cute spider!

Bravo indeed.

He's thinking: hmmm, that big G1 spider overthere has only one eye. Very funny expression. Excellent macro as always.

Wonderful, Mark. You're right: I can see his little spider brain working, trying to figure out what to do.

I photographed some black widows one summer, and thought they were good shots. But I know what a good insect macro is, now, thanks to you.

I like the water drop, and the leaf has real weight and substance, almost like a piece of celery.

Wonderful stuff. You're so right about the front appendages. If you look at it long enough, you can also see the faint traces of a contemplative frown just below the spider's eyes. Tremendous detail and wonderful composition as well.

Hi Mark. Excellent DOF, colors and lighting. Very good composition. I would prefer to see the spider aimin to the prey, rather. Overall - Excellent (6/7). Best regards.

Hi Mark. I think that this is one of the best shots in your portfolio. It really captures the personality of the spider.
