Something going on here that caused it to be very over-exposed. It would appear that you were using a preset mode and the camera's meter read the shadow area under the roof, causing the overall shot to wash out. One way to overcome this harsh light situation would be to spot meter on the performer (they are in the same light as the crowd) letting the roof go dark.

For the comment. I am always looking for feedback.

You are correct on the exposure, although, believe it or not all the over exposure was done on purpose in Photoshop. :-D I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not, so I was looking for input.

I'm guessing you think it still needs work. :-)  I don't disagree, but I'm not sure where else to go with this...or if I've already gone too far.  I really would appreciate any specific guidance you can provide. :D

Thanks again, though, for taking the time to comment.

Hmm... ok- When working on projects such as this, I will often write down what it is that I think I'm trying to accomplish. This way, as I work an image I can check my progress in order to stay somewhat on track. Often times straying from the path leads to discoveries, but having the guidelines in place does save time.

That said-this image is difficult to view because the washed out areas are so dominant. Perhaps a texture layer would help, something along the lines of poster paper? There is an artist on Pnet named Gail Harmer that just completed a series on a Ribfest event- i only mention this because her clever use of backgrounds and post processing effects turned candid imagery into advertisement grade event posters. HTH

Hope you don't mind me taking the liberty with your image- ran this thru a quick HDR plugin, added a random texture, the sepia effect is actually the result of a mask/opacity setting-something that strayed from the path but looks ok.
