I like this...lovely split lighting...I particularly like how you've maintained just enough detail on the short side of her face to complete her face and keep her left eye visible...I also like the slightly angled pose, this seems to work for this portrait...though I'm not sure whether is should be opened up just a bit on the right...I'll have to ponder this a bit...overall though a nice capture.  Great smile.

No one else has commented on it so I thought I would mention that the use of a black background with her dark hair causes the hair to blend into it.  You might consider the use of a reflector to put more light into the shadow side of her face.  It can be as simple as a sheet of cardboard painted with white paint or even with aluminum foil glued to it.

Jerry, I also think the reflector would have been a plus. Not making excuses but this was a situation all photographers have probably been in at one time or another; I had about 10 minutes immediately after the ceremony to do whatever I could. The entire room had the walls draped in black cloth (and the ceiling was black, also) - no time for different background. The one umbrella light was my choice because of time and I thought I would rather blend the hair into the black background than have a harsh shadow behind her. Thank goodness Fallon has agreed to do another shoot with me later. Beautiful girl. Thanks for taking the time to critique my images!
